Production details of Down To Earth Neuburger: Down To Earth Neuburger is an orange wine made by Michaela Riedmüller in Hainburg an der Donau in the Carnuntum region of Austria. The wine is mash-fermented on the grape skins, completing both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation on skins, then ages 10 months in large wooden barrels before bottling. Neuburger is a cross between Roter Veltliner and Silvaner.
Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Down To Earth Neuburger by Michaela Riedmüller, but we hear it has notes of crisp apple, smoke, fennel seeds and a soft skin-contact texture.
