Mea Orange is a naturally sparkling Pet Nat wine crafted by , in the Stajerska region in . This orange pet nat is really impressive. It’s very fun with pops of apricot and vanilla dominating. VERY refreshing and incredible value!
Matic Wines is the project of Matija Zerjav, known as Matic, in Stajerska in north-eastern Slovenia. He works without synthetic chemicals, without irrigation and without chemical fertilisers, and keeps the cellar as quiet as possible, using steel for the fresher wines and buried qvevri for the longer macerations.
Mea is the range Matic started with, named after the pet nat that was his first commercial bottling. The grapes he works with are mostly local Sipon (Furmint), alongside Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Yellow Muscat and Blaufränkisch.
