Made with 100% grapes, this wine is nicely rounded, a little creamy and with a quirky, fun approach to it we enjoy!
How is Unicorn Knight Chardonnay made?
The Chardonnay comes from the Maringer Honigberg, one of the slopes around Maring in the Mosel. For the previous release the juice fermented spontaneously in 225 litre French oak barrels, with only a very small sulphur addition before bottling. The result is more cool and mineral than buttery, which is not what most people expect from Mosel Chardonnay.
