Description
Rich yet bright Napa Valley Chardonnay from Duckhorn, bottled in the 50th Anniversary label. The 2024 shows caramelized pineapple, ripe pear and white stone fruit with a long, polished finish.
Duckhorn sources this Chardonnay from cooler Napa Valley sites, including Oak Knoll, Los Carneros and Atlas Peak. It is mostly barrel fermented and aged nine months in French oak (40% new), with only partial malolactic so the fruit stays lifted. Caramelized pineapple, white stone fruit and ripe pear open up with a whisper of mango crème brûlée, and the palate pairs richness with fresh acidity and a hint of key lime pie. Delicate florals and minerality carry the finish. Scored 93 by James Suckling. Offered in 375ml and 750ml bottles. 14.1% ABV.
