Description
Yéyo Reposado Rosa 86 comes from Master Distiller Sergio Cruz, who takes 100% blue agave spirit through a three-way cask program: French Syrah, Spanish Sherry, and Portuguese Port barrels, each accounting for one-third of the aging. The wine casks give the tequila its blush color and a wine-forward aroma, while oak and dried fruit fill in behind the agave sweetness. At 43% ABV, it’s a higher-proof reposado with unusual layering for the category, released in limited quantities.
Fermentation happens to classical music, and distillation is done twice in traditional copper pot stills. In the glass at 750 ml, the profile moves from sweet agave and red berries into plum and cherry, with black pepper and a whisper of vanilla closing things out.
