What began as leftover whey becomes a spirit in Batch 2 of Wheyward Spirit’s Wheyskey, an American whiskey rested in hand-picked barrels. The second release of this experimental series reflects a distillery willing to rethink what raw material a whiskey can start from, drawing on sustainability as much as on craft.
Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format, the whiskey layers complex grain character with a restrained sweetness. The texture leans creamy across the palate, while oak undertones from barrel aging sit underneath, the result of dairy-side know-how meeting distilling practice.
