Description
After maturing as an American single malt, this whiskey from Westward spends its final stretch in barrels that previously held stout beer. The result, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, pulls roasted grain and coffee straight into the malt spirit.
Chocolate and malty sweetness run through the palate, with a subtle bitterness on the finish that nods to the beer side of its background. It’s a crossover between brewing and distilling that gives the whiskey a bold, layered character.
