Description
Virginia Distillery Old Rasputin Stout Cask Finish is an American single malt built from a mash bill of 100% malted barley. It rests in ex-bourbon barrels for more than five years before moving into casks that once held North Coast Brewing Co. Old Rasputin Stout. Six barrels were selected for this release.
The nose opens with almond kringle and honeycomb, followed by bright citrus zest. On the palate, dark chocolate meets malty hops, a direct nod to the stout casks used for the finish.
Bottled at 46% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, it is a collaboration between two American craft producers.
