Tyler, Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Pinot Noir

Tyler’s Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Pinot Noir is the centrepiece of the winery’s production. The wine is sourced from the original Mt. Eden clones planted in 1971, and the 2017 vintage was fermented with 50% whole clusters and aged in 50% new French oak. The nose here is flashy, dazzling and nuanced, and the palate is broad and expansive. There is a subtle but persistent grip to the structure, and the wine feels perfectly polished and crafted without feeling manipulated to do so. Quite possibly the definitive wine made from these vines thus far.
