Winemaker’s Notes
Thurlow Cellars Crotalus Napa Valley Red Blend 2023 is a bold and intriguing wine that brings together the best of Napa Valley’s terroir with a powerful blend of varietals. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and blackberry, layered with subtle notes of leather, dark chocolate, and earthy spices. The palate is rich and full-bodied, showcasing concentrated flavors of dark fruits complemented by hints of espresso, black pepper, and a touch of vanilla from oak aging. The tannins are well-integrated yet assertive, providing structure and balance, while a lively acidity brightens the wine’s complexity. The finish is long and layered, with lingering notes of black fruit and a whisper of toasted oak.
