Description
Three Chord Blended Bourbon is the flagship bottle from Three Chord Bourbon, a music-driven brand. Musician Neil Giraldo is the man behind it. The name comes from the three-chord progression at the root of the blues. The idea is simple: get the basics right and play them with care.
This blends whiskies up to 12 years old from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. The mash bill is 73% corn, 20% rye and 7% malted barley. That puts it in medium-high rye territory. It is blended and bottled in Michigan at an easygoing 81 proof.
The nose brings maple syrup, caramel and vanilla. On the palate, it tastes grassy and slightly sweet, with gentle spice. Light citrus fruit and mild charred oak come in next. The finish is refined and lingering, with a soft note of honeycomb.
Judges and critics have enjoyed it too. It won Silver at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2018 and again in 2021. Wine Enthusiast gave it 90 points in its 2019 Top 100 Spirits list. In 2022 it took Gold at the Los Angeles Spirits Awards and Silver at the Bartender Spirits Awards.
Enjoy it neat, or pour it into a tall highball with soda. Its gentle proof makes it a relaxed sipper for long evenings. You can explore more , or browse our . With its record-inspired spirit, it makes a fun present for any music fan.
