Finished in mizunara oak, The Matsui Single Malt Whisky Mizunara Cask draws on a wood prized by Japanese distillers for the aromatic character it lends to malt whisky. The 700 ml bottle is presented at 43% ABV. Sandalwood and incense sit alongside vanilla, bright citrus and a touch of spice, with the oak shaping the whisky through to an elegant finish. The result pairs single malt technique with a distinctly Japanese approach to maturation.
