Description
The Macallan Terra is a single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside. It belongs to The Macallan’s Quest Collection. You will mostly find it in airport boutiques and travel retail shops.
Terra honors sherry-seasoned oak from two continents. It matures in first-fill European and American oak casks from two family cooperages. The oak gives it a natural, sunset orange color.
On the nose, dried fruit meets lemon zest, toffee and light ginger, with aged oak rising behind. The palate feels heavy yet fresh, with sweet dried fruit and hints of ripening apple. The medium-length finish brings dried fruit and wood spice.
Bottled at 43.8% ABV, it is best neat or with a few drops of water. Enjoy it with dark chocolate, roasted almonds or a fruit tart.
