Release No. 28 is The Last Drop’s Signature Blend of Kentucky Straight Whiskeys, created by acclaimed Master Blender Drew Mayville. Drawing on treasured vintage bourbon and straight rye whiskeys from the Buffalo Trace Distillery archives, Mayville evaluated more than 40 exceptional whiskeys before crafting this one-of-a-kind blend.
Bottled uncut and unfiltered at 121.4 proof (60.7% ABV), this exceptionally limited release captures the depth of mature Kentucky whiskey. Just 1,458 individually numbered bottles were produced worldwide.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Dark fruits, figs, dates, raisins, citrus zest, aromatic spice, and creamy vanilla.
- Palate: Candied dark fruit, orange peel, warming spices, leather, wax, and well-integrated oak.
- Finish: Lingering rye spice, chocolate, vanilla, and oak.
