Description
The Last Drop Glenrothes 1970 is a single malt Scotch whisky filled on December 6th, 1970 and left to mature undisturbed in its original cask for more than five decades. Three casks were drawn on, each having developed its own character, and together they yielded just 286 bottles.
Bottled at cask strength, the release spans ABVs from 44.1% to 45.3%, the natural variation that comes with true single cask bottlings. This 750 ml bottle is presented at 45% ABV.
The profile is warm and complex, with hints of oak, spice and dried fruit carrying through to a smooth, lasting finish.
