Description
Bottled at 43% ABV, The Koshi – No Shinobu Pure Malt Mizunara is a Japanese malt whisky given its final maturation in mizunara oak. This Japanese oak works differently than other cask woods, layering the malt with spiced wood, sandalwood and a thread of incense alongside a whisper of smoke.
The result pairs traditional malt whisky production with the character only mizunara can supply, leaving malt sweetness underneath the wood-driven spice. It is a 750 ml expression built around the influence of one of Japan’s most distinctive cask woods.
