Description
A straight bourbon whiskey made through triple copper pot distillation, aged in extra-charred new American oak and then finished over French oak staves. The mash bill runs 80% corn and 20% rye, and the whiskey goes into the 750 ml bottle at cask strength, 103 proof (51.5% ABV), without chill filtration.
The color leans toward ruby copper with mahogany depth, and the nose carries smoke: grilled meats and campfire alongside toffee, molasses, caramel, brown sugar, rich coffee and a trace of tobacco. Oak and coffee lead the medium-full palate, with chocolate and burnt sugar underneath, closing smooth and nutty on sweet vanilla bean that stays balanced between dry and lingering sweetness.
