Description
The Dalmore 40 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that spends its first decades in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, establishing a base of depth and elegance.
Selected parcels are then moved into 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks, while others finish their maturation in rare Graham’s 1970 Colheita Port pipes. After 40 years, these components are married back together into a single, harmonious whisky shaped by careful cask selection and long-term aging.
Tasting notes: ripe cherries and plums open the palate, followed by orange peel, chocolate truffles, and marmalade. The finish is long, with Black Forest fruits, caramelized pear, and dark chocolate. 750 ml.
