Description
Forty-eight months in ex-bourbon barrels give Tepozán Extra Añejo Tequila its weight, yet the spirit never tips out of balance. It is made in San Julián, Jalisco under Master Distiller Don Carlos Padilla, and it is additive-free, so the barrel time and the agave carry the whole flavor.
The pour is full and creamy, with roasted agave at the center and layers of tobacco, salted caramel, cinnamon sugar toast, and the warm spice of café de olla. The finish runs long and smooth. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750 ml bottle, it drinks easily for a tequila of this age.
