Five years in barrel shaped this extra a\u00f1ejo from German Gonzalez, who filled scotch, sherry and brandy casks with tequila made from 100% blue agave. Each barrel type leaves its mark, and together they build layers that set the liter bottle apart from a typical extra a\u00f1ejo: oak depth, quiet fruit, and a run of spice through the finish.
Bottled at 43% ABV, the pour is smooth in texture and balanced from start to end, with subtle details that speak to how carefully it was assembled. The release is exceptionally limited and was produced exclusively for a select circle, making it a bottle that reflects one distiller’s blend of traditional method and experimental cask work.
