Thirteen months of aging in a mix of bourbon barrels and French oak red wine casks shapes this a\u00f1ejo, giving it layers that unfold slowly rather than all at once. The oak stays gentle, contributing brown sugar, coffee, and chocolate while roasted agave and citrus hold their place throughout.
At 40% ABV, the texture is smooth and the sweetness measured, never taking over the palate. Cooked agave leads, followed by citrus and vanilla, with a touch of pepper spice closing things out and a mineral edge that lingers. 750 ml.
