This Slovakian wine made with a blend of vintages is very concentrated and fruit forward, and has more tannins than the previous vintage, which become apparent after swallowing, almost like a second sensation that is quite cool.
Whilst fun and fruity, the minor tannins do make it more of a serious wine – but it’s not a big wine, just not a glou glou as it sometimes is.
Expect notes of ripe plums, baked apple, blackberries and a hint of pepper and spice once it opens up a bit.
