Description
Stranahan’s Rocky Mountain Single Malt is an American single malt whiskey made from 100% barley, double-distilled from a proprietary blend of four malted barleys sourced exclusively in Colorado. The 4-year-old whiskey is aged in virgin-charred American white oak barrels, Solera finished for a rich, mellow character, and cut with Rocky Mountain water. Bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) in a 375 ml format.
The color is burnt amber. The aroma carries caramel-butterscotch, vanilla, maple syrup and leather, leading into flavors of cinnamon-butter, vanilla, chocolate, warm caramel and spiced pear that flow over the tongue like table cream and melted brown sugar.
The finish shows light fruitiness alongside a strong oak presence, with rich tobacco and aged leather.
