Bottled at two years old, this American single malt from Spotted Bear Spirits arrives at 44.3% ABV in a 750 ml format. The short maturation keeps the malt itself front and center, with grain character leading the way and light oak filling in behind it. Floral notes and a touch of spice round out the profile, giving a look at how the distillery’s spirit tastes in its early years. It’s a straightforward pick for drinkers following what small-batch whiskey makers are doing now.
