Description
Paragon Cask Strength from Southern Star is a wheated bourbon bottled at 53.3% ABV under the Bottled-in-Bond designation. The liquid pours a deep, vibrant amber, and the nose leads with florals over a sweet undertone. Sipping brings a soft, silky feel across the palate, with caramel running through the center and weighty notes of ripe apple and dried apricot holding on through a long close.
The mash bill is built on 70% corn with 16% wheat and 14% malted barley, a ratio that keeps the grain sweetness balanced rather than heavy. Packaged in a 750 ml bottle, it’s a bourbon with enough layering and depth to reward slow, attentive drinking.
