Description
Blending Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley, this 2019 Grand Brut Rosé pours a pale pink. The nose leads with hibiscus flower, red sour cherry and a hint of watermelon rind, layered over fresh brioche and mandarin citrus.
On the palate, mandarin and kumquat carry into brighter citrus fruit and light cherry, with a streak of wet stone minerality and the firm acidity that runs through Sonoma-Cutrer’s wines. At 12% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, it works alongside goat cheese, fruit tarts, or fresh oysters with salmon caviar.
