Made in Nevada, Smoke Wagon Bottled in Bond Straight Rye is built on a mash bill of 50-51% rye and 49% corn. That sizable share of corn brings a rounded richness and natural sweetness, which keeps the rye’s black pepper and cinnamon in check rather than letting them dominate.
The result is a whiskey that arrives creamy and easygoing on the palate, then shifts toward warming spice as it moves along, with a finish that holds for a good while. Bottled at 50% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, it shows how a carefully set grain ratio can add complexity without sacrificing drinkability.
