Description
Schloss Johannisberg Silberlack is a Riesling made from hand-harvested grapes grown in the single Schloss Johannisberg vineyard. The fruit is carefully destemmed and softly crushed, and after fermentation the wine rests on the lees for six months.
The aroma opens with soft white peach, stone fruit, citrus and passion fruit. On the palate it is slightly reserved on the attack, with delicate fruitiness, gentle peach stone, citrus, passion fruit, herbs and physalis, carried by a smooth texture and balanced, finely drawn intensity, elegance and finesse.
Light and elegant in style, it pairs with duck, goose and turkey, as well as rich seafood such as lobster and monkfish. It also works with fruity desserts, including tarts and fresh fruit. 750 ml, 13% ABV.
