Description
Drawn from the 2000 harvest and bottled from one barrel alone, this cognac from Sazerac De Forge reflects both a single year and a single cask. Maturing in one vessel rather than blending across many keeps the spirit’s original character intact, letting the particular traits of that season come through in the glass.
The 700 ml bottle arrives at 44.8% ABV, with stone fruits and honeyed notes leading into toasted oak and spice undertones over a silky texture. Single cask releases like this one show how much an individual oak barrel shapes a brandy as it ages, which is part of their appeal for collectors following cognac closely.
