Description
Sangre Verde Piña Mezcal is the flagship expression from Sangre Verde, produced in Soledad Etla, Oaxaca. It is a Mezcal Artesanal made from 100% Maguey Espadín (Agave angustifolia) harvested from plants matured for eight years, distilled alongside fresh pineapple to layer fruit character over the traditional agave base. The agave is roasted in a stone conical oven, shredded mechanically, fermented in wooden tubs, and double distilled in a copper alembic still, then bottled as a Joven under Mexico’s Denominación de Origen Protegida for mezcal.
The mezcal pours crystal clear and opens with ripe pineapple, wood smoke, citrus, and wild herbs on the nose. On the palate, juicy pineapple runs through smoky, mineral espadín notes backed by earthy agave, closing on a smooth finish of tropical fruit and Oaxacan earth.
