Barrel 122 comes from Sagamore Spirit’s Barrel Select program, where individual barrels are chosen by hand rather than blended to a single house standard. It draws on a mix of high-rye and low-rye straight rye whiskies, a combination that gives each selection its own character — no two barrels land in the same place, and this one carries a bold, expressive shape of its own within Maryland-style rye tradition.
Aged seven years and bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle, the whiskey leads with caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and clove, backed by warm oak and gentle baking spice. Hints of dried fruit fill out a complex profile that finishes smooth and long. The strength gives it structure and weight while staying drinkable neat, and it holds its own in classic rye cocktails. Curated by Sagamore’s distilling team, it reflects the individuality that defines the Barrel Select lineup.
