Description
Three separate rye batches come together in Ron Colon Salvadoreno American Rye Whiskey, each chosen for what it contributes to the whole. The finishing component is built on a high-malt rye mash-bill, which brings out notes of chocolate and apple across the palate. The other two batches were hand-selected to give the blend a full-bodied, sturdy backbone.
Bottled at 50% ABV in a 750 ml format, this rye leans warm and layered, with oak, spice and dried fruit running through it and a smooth finish that carries on. The result reflects careful batch selection and the blending work behind it.
