Description
Rumzcal from Ron Colón Salvadoreño is built on a split of two spirits: 66% dark aged rum and 33% artisanal Maguey Espadín mezcal distilled by López Real, a fourth-generation family producer working in the traditional style. The result is a hybrid bottling where caramelized rum depth sits alongside the earthy smoke that mezcal brings.
At 49.5% ABV (99 proof) in a 750 ml bottle, it pours with sweet molasses and vanilla on the nose, touched by tropical fruit and spice. The palate stays smooth and rounded while the smoky, fruity and lightly spicy layers take turns, giving cocktail-minded drinkers plenty to work with.
