Description
Mulhacen 2020 is a natural wine crafted by Roca Viva, in the Andalusia region in . This red wine is made with grapes, and has a strong tannic presence, with a powerful yet refined mouthfeel alongside a lovely mineralic element. Iron, bramble fruit, pencil shavings. Very much about tannin and minerality, but will benefit from some time to age.
This special place the highest peak from the Spanish peninsula and the vineyards are literally at the foothills with view on the peak of the Mulhacen

The Tempranillo for Mulhacan was harvested in two different stages, once at the beginning of September 2020 and again in the seconf half of the month. After spending the night in the vineyard, the grapes were then brought to the winery where they were destemmed and crushed. After 30 days of maceration, the juices were pressed and aged for 2 years – 50% in amphora and the other 50% in French Oak. The wine was then bottled in October 2022, unfiltered & unfined and without added sulphur.
