Description
Bottled at 47% ABV, the 2018 release of Small River Basin Rye comes from River Basin Distillery in 750 ml format. Production stays at small-batch scale, and the whiskey leans into the grain itself: rye spice runs through the palate, with oak from selective barrel aging framing rather than covering it.
A slight sweetness rounds the middle before the finish turns peppery, backed by a warming heat that holds. The 2018 vintage marking ties the bottle to a specific batch, which gives rye drinkers and collectors a fixed point of reference for the character in the glass.
