Bottled at 43% ABV in a 700 ml format, Rhum JM VSOP carries a cognac-borrowed designation that signals at least four years of maturation. It is made on Martinique in the agricole tradition, distilled from freshly pressed sugarcane juice instead of molasses, which gives the spirit its green, vegetal edge and fruit-forward aromatics.
Time in oak rounds the raw cane character without erasing it. Expect tropical fruit and herbal notes alongside vanilla from the wood, with a smooth finish that ties the agricultural side of the rum to its aged side.
