e1laga, Spain. The Spanish influence shows up as floral and fruit-forward character running alongside the warm spice the distillery is known for, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750 ml format.
The nose opens with zesty fruit, nutmeg and vanilla oak. On the palate, bright fruits sit over textured layers of toffee and honeycomb, with subtle dried-herb undertones and steady oak throughout. Pot still spice and wine-seasoned oak carry the finish. Master Blender David McCabe built the release around traditional Irish pot still methods paired with the character of Spanish fortified wine casks.
