Description
Vulcanico Bianco 2024 is a natural wine crafted by , in the Baden region in . This white wine is made with grapes, grown on Volcanic soils. The Kaiserstuhl is a small, low mountain range of hills rising out of the Upper Rhine Plain that was formed by a stratovolcano roughly 16 million years ago, of which the Raspini vines are grown.
This is the Raspini Pinot Blanc, which comes with a small addition of Pinot Gris, harvested and processed together. Direct press, spontaneous fermentation, then aged in used wooden barrels on the fine lees.
We have not yet tried this wine but here it has a subtle approach, with saline aspects and crisp citrus on the finish.
