Boxergrail is a straight rye whiskey bottled at 47.5% ABV, opening with spice and butterscotch on the nose. The palate leans on light fruit, citrus and black tea, with caramel and baking spice filling in behind, so sweetness and pepper sit in even proportion. The 750 ml bottle carries enough weight to hold up without dilution, and it reads just as clearly poured neat as it does over ice.
