Description
a new premier cru as of the ’99 vintage. There is also a touch of reduction here as well but it’s less severe as it doesn’t hide the spicy and gamy red fruit aromas. This is wonderfully, even exuberantly sappy with a surprising touch of rusticity though it may very well be the effect of the gas hardening the tannins. There is terrific finishing complexity and very ripe tannins that will take 7 or 8 years to resolve.
