Description
Peligroso Cinnamon 42 is a cinnamon tequila liqueur made in Mexico. Its base is a 100% blue Weber agave blanco tequila. The brand infuses it with pure cinnamon and a few secret ingredients. The spice gives the clear tequila a light amber glow.
It is bottled at 42% ABV, or 84 proof. That matches the strength of the rest of the Peligroso line. Each bottle is hand-made and numbered. The flavor first launched in 2013 in California and Nevada.
On the nose you get warm cinnamon over earthy agave, with a spicy edge. The palate brings sweet cinnamon heat, and the agave still shows through. The finish is light and smooth, with less bite than you might expect.
Serve it chilled as a shot, or sip it slowly over ice. It also works in a spiked horchata or a tamarind margarita. For dessert, try it next to churros, apple pie or vanilla ice cream.
