Pantalones Organic Tequila Blanco is made from 100% Blue Weber agave. The agave is grown and harvested in the fields of Amatitán, in Jalisco, Mexico. The tequila is certified organic by the USDA and also certified gluten-free. It is made under NOM 1614 and bottled at 40% alcohol.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey are the husband-and-wife team behind the brand. They wanted a premium organic tequila that never feels stuffy. That relaxed attitude shows up from the label to the glass.
On the nose, you get cooked and raw agave with a little caramel. Herbal notes, light guava and lime follow. The palate is sweet and silky, led by cooked agave, caramel and soft fruit. A touch of honey and citrus keeps it bright. It finishes smooth, clean and crisp.
Critics have taken notice too. The Beverage Testing Institute awarded it a Gold medal and 90 points in 2024.
