Description
Distilled in San Francisco from 100% malted rye, this bottled-in-bond whiskey spends 13 years in once-used, charred fine-grain American oak barrels. At 50% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, it opens sweet, with soft stone fruit, a bright edge, a touch of peppercorn and creamy spice through the finish.
The current release comes in a commemorative box that includes an exclusive Old Potrero metal bottle topper, marking Hotaling & Co.’s legacy since 2006. The name recalls San Francisco’s recovery after the 1906 earthquake and fire, and Charles K. Field’s poem about the whiskey stock at Hotaling’s that survived the flames.
