Description
This is Old Forester’s Kentucky Straight Rye, bottled at 100 proof.
Its 1940 recipe uses 65% rye, 20% malted barley and 15% corn.
You get brown sugar and molasses, then blood orange and black pepper. The finish is long, with toasted malt.
Founder George Garvin Brown was the first to put his whiskey in a glass bottle.
