Description
Oban 2022 Special Release 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from one of the oldest and smallest distilleries in Scotland, part of a Special Releases Collection drawn from iconic distilleries. Bottled at 57.1% ABV (114.2 proof) in a 750 ml bottle.
Maturation begins in refill and new American oak, then finishes in Amontillado-seasoned casks. The nose carries salt crystal, edible seaweed and ozone-fresh sea air, wrapped in a faint smokiness.
The texture is creamy and smooth, with wine-fruit notes and hints of sweet violet and spiced plum. Spice balances the fruit, moving from a saltiness mid-palate to a long, smooth chili pepper finish.
