Description
Nikka Whisky Yoichi Single Malt Non-Peated is a 2021 limited edition and the first release in the Nikka Discovery Series, a look at the distillery’s experimental whisky-making ahead of the brand’s 90th anniversary. It is made entirely from unpeated malts, setting it apart from Yoichi’s traditionally peated profile while retaining the house character that comes from coal-fired distillation.
The whisky is bright and elegant, with layers of fresh fruit and soft sweetness. A rich, rounded mouthfeel carries a subtle smokiness drawn from the coal-fired stills, and the finish is clean, refined, and quietly complex.
Bottled at 47% ABV in a 750 ml format.
