Description
Bottled at 50% ABV, this Kentucky straight rye from New Riff is made with the sour mash method, where a portion of spent grain from a previous fermentation is carried into the next. That practice shapes the whiskey’s consistency and lends it a distinct backbone.
Because it carries the straight rye designation, the whiskey has spent a minimum of two years in barrel. The time in wood pulls rye spice and black pepper together with oak and caramel, closing out dry. Offered in a 750 ml bottle.
