Description
New Riff 6 Year Malted Rye is made from 100% malted rye in Newport, Kentucky. Co-founder Jay Erisman calls it a malted whiskey first and a rye second.
It ages at least six years in new toasted, charred oak. It is Bottled in Bond at 100 proof, with no chill filtration.
Look for powdered sugar, plum skin and pear on the nose. The palate offers saltwater taffy, clove and a toasty malt note. Clove and pink peppercorn close it out.
Judges at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition gave it Gold in 2023 and Double Gold in 2024. Sip it neat or try it in a Manhattan.
