Lemon Meadow is the fourth bottling in Ncnean’s Huntress series, a line built around experiments in fermentation. For this release the distillery worked with an unusual French sparkling wine yeast, which lends the spirit a citrus-led, biscuity character.
The whisky traces back to Ncnean’s first yeast trial in 2017. Matured in house-style casks, it pours creamy and gently floral, with lemon sorbet, fresh chamomile and all-butter shortbread alongside oak, spice and dried fruit on a smooth, lingering close. 48.5% ABV, 700 ml, certified organic, vegan friendly, gluten free, natural colour, non-chill filtered and unpeated.
