Description
The Compromise from Nashville Barrel Company is a cask-strength American whiskey built on an even split: half 9-year MGP bourbon, half 7-year Kentucky rye. At 61.3% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, the blend keeps both grains in equal measure rather than letting one dominate.
Caramel and dark fruit lead the pour, giving way to assertive rye spice and oak before a warm finish that holds on. It’s a high-proof pour that puts the barrel selection and the blending decisions front and center.
